The Church of Righteous Death is the oldest body of power in Historia, existing before the time of Weeping Mountains. Little is unknown about the priests of Kelemvor, and even less is known of their practices within the castle walls. The only time the priests are visible to the public is during a grand trial, positioned to either side of the Iudex Primeri and at the subsequent executions of any criminals who are deemed Noxium. It is believed that those who serve Kelemvor are his eyes and hands on the prime material, guiding those who leave the earth to the Crystal Scale. Some of the oldest denizens of Historia tell of fairy tales from the days before the skies fell, of times when the great army of Historia continued to serve its people even after death. Those who know these tales even claim that those armies still exist beneath the city, waiting to be called to action once more.
