Geography

A flat wasteland splintered by a web of deep canyons, book-ended by long beaches on either side.

Ecosystem

Sparse and dry, leaving any unfortunate enough to travel within exposed to the elements and without plentiful resources, though by no means devoid of life. Hardy creatures that are well adapted to long stretches without food or water thrive here. Some are active at night, stalking the surface in search of ever elusive meals under a canopy of stars and spending days when its too hot underground or deep inside the shaded canyons. Others have super efficient adaptations, allowing them to brave the sweltering heat grazing for shrubs and grasses. Others have developed organs that store huge amounts of fresh water, filled in times of plenty and rationed in the leaner months.
