Now the city of whalers cove is dedicated to fishing, whaling, and agriculture. Here they were able to plant a variety of vegetation that was brought from the homeland and some farmers have had success harvesting and domesticating the local plants as well. Much work has been done to clear enough land to farm and many lives were lost in the process due to much of the plants and animals being rather dangerous. For this reason the population of Whalers Cove is smaller than the rest but the local area is generally safer as less aggressive creatures reside in the surrounding jungles. No city wall has been erected however there is unrest by a minority of the inhabitants that believe as the city grows that more effort is needed in the protection and upkeep of this prosperous land.

The inhabitants of Triton-borough tend to be rather friendly of familiar faces and quick to trust those who look like them or have the Tritons trust. Not many assaults from the wild jungles have troubled these lands as the local jungle is less wild and dense than the coastlines and land around North Point. It’s believed by the colonists this was by design of the Tritons to make sure that a colony could survive here. People of note here Include Zalthar a local gifted healer, and Braden a long veteran fisherman and friend of triton folk.

History

Whalers Cove, having been founded about 10 years ago by the gifted Samson, was formed when a people known as Tritons having come from the sea, aided the travels of a ship who’s purpose was to map the eastern coastlines of the new world. Samson was a gifted linguist and using the Magic’s of Avandra was able to communicate for the first time in actual intelligent speech with the natives here. An alliance was forged, stating that the people of the colonies and the people of the deep sea would commence trading and the protection of each other people if need ever arose. Tritons has previously not been able to safely explore the lands above which they desperately desired to learn of. This, and the ability to gather resources that would better suit their needs is why drove the alliance from the Tritons perspective. The colonists welcome a friendly group of people and were seeking more knowledge of the surrounding waters and protection from creatures of the sea. These two people live symbiotically and thrive more now than ever before due to the benefits of this alliance whose forging was capable due to Samson, the first ambassador to the new world.
